I am use to getting comped rooms at locations I frequent, but have noticed that some hotels will not even calculate a gambler's rate or complimentary stay until after a 24 hour period. I also want to add that I stayed in their hotel for the night. My husband found a bank of 3/5/10 play nickels and played most of the night on those.

Lots of X games and a few other multiplays, along with quarter games and a number of game kings (which I personally loath). Some rooms have a nice view of Mohawk River (hotel is standing right on its banks), and the grounds of he hotel merge into Riverwalk and a park.I am a video poker player, most often nickels, and while no out of Vegas casino really has all the nickel multiplay video poker I enjoy this one had around 20 or so. Rooms were nice and almost everything was perfect, except I found it strange that design of the shower was open, with no way to close the door between the bathroom and a shower proper, leading to water spill into the bathroom from the shower. The downside is a lack of public transportation from the hotel to Schenectady, and it's nearly impossible to hail a taxi here either, but I am not sure the city has any transportation in the first place (there are taxis in the area, but you need to know their phone numbers in order to get them to come). That allows you to play, and to visit several restaurants inside the playing rooms, without feeling nauseous like in some other casinos. But I was pleasantly surprised that apparently they don't allow smoking inside the playing rooms. I was here on business and just happened to stay in the Rivers, was not really interested in casino.
